    2014

    The Beginning

After 30 years in the industry, our founder Artnel started AM Aluminium on 3 February 2014. With a key customer he had worked with for 27 years committing to follow him, he had the foundation to build a company focused on customer care and deep technical expertise.

  • 2014

    A Major Milestone

Within months of opening, a major lighting supplier for the transport industry came on board, supplying lights for Hitachi train carriages. This project, worth millions over its lifetime, gave the business the confidence and stability to grow.

  • 2016

    Bringing Manufacturing In-House

To gain more control over quality and lead times, we invested in our first major piece of machinery: a £135,000 Elumatec machining centre, backed by a personal guarantee. This allowed us to bring fabrication in-house and offer a faster, more reliable service to our customers.

  • 2017

    ISO 9001:2015 Certification

We achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, a testament to our commitment to quality and process. For us, this is not just a piece of paper. It is a framework for getting it right, first time, every time.

  • 2022

    Expanding Capabilities

We invested in a Haas Super Mini Mill, allowing us to machine smaller, more intricate parts in-house. This gave us even greater control over quality and saved our customers both time and money.

  • Today

    Record Growth and Looking Ahead

With a team of six, record orders, and a new focus on marketing and digital presence, we are expanding rapidly. We are looking to move to a larger facility to continue our growth while maintaining the exceptional, personal service our customers have come to expect.

Bespoke Solutions

About Aluminium Extrusions

From bespoke profile specification to full production runs, we manage the entire extrusion process. We begin by reviewing your drawing for extrudability, advising on wall thicknesses, radii, and alloy selection to ensure the best possible result before a die is ever cut. Once approved, we work with our carefully selected network of UK and European extrusion mills to produce consistent, high-quality profiles to your exact specification.

Whether you need a one-off prototype or an ongoing production run, we offer a personal, technically expert service that keeps your project on track from the very first conversation.

About Fabrication & Machining

Precision in-house machining and fabrication for aluminium profiles, using state-of-the-art CNC equipment. Our Elumatec SBZ 140, a 4+1 axis machining centre capable of working on profiles up to 4.2 metres, handles complex, multi-operation components in a single setup. Our Haas Super Mini Mill takes care of smaller, more intricate parts.

Together, they give us the capability and flexibility to manage a wide range of work in-house, keeping lead times short and quality firmly under our control. Every job follows our ISO 9001:2015 certified process, with first-off checks, in-process inspections, and a final sign-off before despatch.

Aluminium Components for Specialist Healthcare Environments

About Aluminium Anodising

Protective and decorative anodising finishes that are integral to the aluminium, not just a surface coating. Unlike paint or powder coating, the anodic layer grows into the metal itself through an electrochemical process, making it exceptionally hard, corrosion-resistant, and highly durable in both interior and exterior environments. Available in Natural Silver, Black, and a range of other colours including bronze, gold, and champagne.

We manage the entire process through a close, long-standing relationship with a specialist anodiser, ensuring competitive pricing, consistent quality, and the correct micron thickness for your specific application and performance requirements.

Aluminium Anodising

About Aluminium powder coating

Durable, high-quality powder coating in any RAL or British Standard colour, managed through our trusted finishing partners. An electrostatically charged powder is applied to the aluminium surface and cured under heat, producing a hard, uniform finish that significantly outperforms conventional wet paint in both durability and consistency. Resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and corrosion, suitable for interior and exterior applications alike.

For customers who require white, which is not achievable with anodising, powder coating is the standard solution. We also offer specialist finishes including metallic effects, textured surfaces, and wood grain for more demanding aesthetic requirements.

Aluminium Powder Coating

Our Bespoke Solutions

A fully tailored service for customers who need a complete, end-to-end solution, from specification and manufacture through to assembly, custom packaging, and delivery. We combine our in-house expertise in extrusion, fabrication, and finishing with our project management skills and a trusted network of specialist partners, giving you a single point of contact for the entire supply chain.

We have delivered bespoke solutions for customers in the transport, electronics, medical, and engineering sectors. We also offer stock holding and batch delivery, so you can maintain a lean inventory with the confidence that your components will be ready when you need them.

Industries We Work With

We work with manufacturers, designers, and engineers across a wide range of sectors, bringing over 40 years of experience and an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality process to every project, whatever the application.

Transport
Aluminium Solutions for the Transport Industry

Aluminium solutions for the transport industry

The transport sector demands components that are lightweight, strong, and built to last. We have a proven track record of supplying precision aluminium extrusions and fabricated components to the transport industry, including lighting systems for Hitachi train carriages.

Aluminium is the material of choice for the transport industry. Its exceptional strength to-
weight ratio reduces vehicle weight, improves fuel efficiency, and lowers emissions, without compromising structural integrity. Its natural corrosion resistance makes it ideal for components exposed to the elements, and its design flexibility allows complex profiles to be produced to tight tolerances.

Engineering
Aluminium Solutions for the Engineering Industry

Aluminium solutions for the engineering industry

Engineering applications demand accuracy, consistency, and reliability. We work with engineers and manufacturers across a wide range of disciplines to supply precision aluminium extrusions and machined components that meet the most exacting specifications.

From structural profiles and machine frames to precision-machined components and bespoke assemblies, aluminium is a fundamental material in modern engineering. Its combination of strength, light weight, machinability, and corrosion resistance makes it the preferred choice for a vast range of applications.

Electronics & Lighting
Aluminium Solutions for the Lighting & Electronics Industry

Aluminium solutions for the electronics & lighting industry

Aluminium’s thermal conductivity and design flexibility make it the ideal material for electronics enclosures, LED lighting profiles, and heatsink applications. We supply precision extrusions and machined components to manufacturers across
the electronics and lighting sectors.

The electronics and lighting industries place particularly high demands on their aluminium components. Heatsinks must be designed to maximise thermal dissipation. LED lighting profiles must be precise enough to hold optical components in exact alignment. Enclosures must be both functional and aesthetically refined.

Health & Medical
Aluminium Solutions for the Health & Medical Industry

Aluminium solutions for the health & medical industry

The medical sector demands the highest standards of quality, traceability, and reliability. We supply precision aluminium extrusions and machined components to medical device manufacturers and healthcare equipment suppliers, backed by our ISO9001:2015 certified quality management system.

Medical and healthcare applications require components that are clean, precise, and produced to a documented, traceable quality standard. Aluminium is widely used in medical equipment for its combination of light weight, strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of sterilisation.

Leisure
Aluminium Solutions for the Leisure Industry

Aluminium solutions for the leisure industry

From sports equipment and outdoor furniture to architectural features in leisure facilities, aluminium’s combination of light weight, strength, and weather resistance makes it the material of choice for leisure applications.

The leisure industry encompasses a wide range of applications, from the structural frames of gym equipment and playground installations to the decorative trims of hospitality interiors. What they all have in common is a need for components that look good, perform reliably, and stand up to sustained use.

Heating & Ventilation

Aluminium solutions for the Heating & Ventilation industry

Aluminium’s thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and design flexibility make it an ideal material for heating and ventilation applications. We supply precision extrusions and fabricated components to manufacturers across the HVAC sector.

Heating and ventilation systems rely on aluminium for its ability to conduct and dissipate heat efficiently, its resistance to the corrosive effects of moisture and condensation, and its light weight, which simplifies installation and reduces structural loading.
